Breakfast Club
The Breakfast Club provides care for children every day during term-time from 7.45am until the start of the school day.
The Breakfast Club is open to all children in full-time education at Chase Lane Primary School.
The Breakfast Club is based in the hall and is available for all children from Reception to Year 6.
At Breakfast Club the children are offered a breakfast cereal, toast, fresh fruit and a drink, and are free to participate, under the supervision of the staff, in a range of free play and structured activities. Younger children are then escorted into their classroom.
Staffing
The Club is run on a day to day basis by Learning Support Assistants and Welfare Assistants, under the supervision of the Head Teacher.
Rules
The Rules of the Breakfast Club are in place to ensure safety, consideration for others and care of the premises and equipment.
Behaviour
Breakfast Club staff encourage good behaviour through praise and appreciation of children’s achievements. There will be high expectations with regard to behaviour. If a child is continually disruptive she/he may be asked to leave the Breakfast Club for a ‘cooling off’ period.
Club Opening Times & Fees
The breakfast club sessions are available from either 7.45am
The daily fee for either session is £5.00 (weekly £25.00)
Weekly payment of fees
Weekly fees of £25.00 per week should be paid via ParentPay. If you require ParentPay login details please speak to the school office. Please contact the Head Teacher immediately should you experience any payment difficulties, as places will be withdrawn for non-payment of fees.
Complaints
Please discuss any difficulties or issues with your Breakfast Club leader. Should you feel that your complaint has not been adequately dealt with or is of a particularly serious or sensitive nature then you should contact the Head Teacher
Absences
If your child will be out of school for an approved family holiday, please note that sessions during this time must be paid for in advance to retain your child’s place. Every day booked must be paid for (including absence due to sickness).
Notice period
Parents/Carers are required to give at least one full week’s notice from the first day of the week. If children do not attend during the notice period, parents/carers are still liable to pay for the place.

Parking
For safety reasons and to avoid congestion there is no parking or driving into school for Breakfast Club.
After Breakfast Club
Please note that after Breakfast Club, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children are escorted by Breakfast Club staff to their classes. Children in Years 3 - 6 walk to their classrooms at 8.45am.
